Busy....

Future Plans
I will be moving house on August 25th. Because of this there may not be any updates whatsoever around this period of time. On the plus side, the old family computer is to be decommisioned. This gives me the oppertunity to turn it into my own web server! And this means a Robomilk with near unlimited space and bandwidth! Look out for Robomilk - the website. Coming later this year!

Visitor Notice
This will be my last post for a few days. Unless something big happens that needs commenting on.

What's So Great About G8?
Yo Blair! The G8 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, is somewhat disturbing. First Prezza. George W. starts getting down with the homeboys with Blair. Then gives German Chancellor Angela Merkel an obviously unwanted neck massage. It's bloody obvisou what's happened. George W. Bush has gone insane. It makes perfect sense! Why would he greet Tony Blair with a swish "Yo Blair!" before saying:
"You see the irony is what they need to do is get Syria, to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's all over..."

Does he really think making a country that is not yet involved, get involved and that's it! It takes more than that matey. Why don't you just invade Lebanon yourself, kill a few hundred more innocent people and call it a success.... again!

Meanwhile we've been seeing Tony's soft side.
Bush: Tell her to put him on, them on the spot. Thanks for the sweater - it's awfully thoughtful of you.

Blair: It's a pleasure.

Bush: I know you picked it out yourself.

Blair: Oh absolutely - in fact I knitted it!!!

So instead of maybe sorting out the immigration problems, crime levels, tax rates or anything else, Tony Blair likes nothing more than spending his spare time knitting. That's a side we'll never see again.

Early Bush catches the German Chancellor.
An early Bush catches the German Chancellor.

And Bush's other scenanigans haven't gone un-noticed. Better lay low for the rest of the summit. Otherwise there could be trouble.

Number Crunching
What's been going on in Israel vs. Lebanon.
300 people (approx.) killed in Lebanon. 29 people killed in Israel. 25,000 Americans still to be evacuated. 21,000 (approx.) British citizens yet to be evacuated. 1,260 British citizens that have been evacuated. 500,000 people that are leaving Lebanon and surrounding areas. 80 number of Israeli air strikes made TODAY on Lebanon. 60,000 people expected to arrive in Cyprus after being evacuated. 5,000 The number of people the HMS Bulwark can carry to safety. 40 US Marines have arrived in Beirut to aid the evacuees. 80 Britons back in Britain.

Am I Bothered?
No. I'm not. I had to wake up at 6am this morning to get home from Manchester. I'm completely cream crackered. I can't really be bothered typing.

War Continues

Tori Comics 3: Computer

A Quick Correction
Anti-Israeli ProtestsIn the words of Tony Blair "Some mistakes have been made..." Yesterday, not only did I spell Hezbullah as Hizbullah in every instance but I also said there were " some 100,000 British people who are yet to be evacuated." Sorry but this figure is actually just 10,000.

Well, back to the main story. When asked something about Lebanese citizens being killed, the Israeli Vice Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Sunday am "The people are not our enemy. We are targetting the areas where they keep their missiles and there just happens to be people there." Or something along those lines. I should have wrote it down.

Done Up
Notice something different? No it's not a new hairdo, the blog is different! I scrapped the old "Red Sunset" design after people complained about it hurting their eyes. So now I got this much nicer one!

Retrospectacle An insight into the Robomilk of yesteryear...
Sim Search 3. The last in the trilogy af absolutely crap websites. This, unlike other Sim Search websites, this one was not dedicated to downloads or cheats, links or more links but news, reviews and the general like. I won't say much about this one. Except it wasn't really that good.

Yesterday's Web
Robomilk's last.fmWell since I spent yesterday redesigning this blog then I must say I got a lot of help from the tutorials at A List Apart. And as per usual I shall provide another linky for all you non web design types and this is last.fm which recently had a redesign of it's own and looks better than ever.

Israel vs. Hizbullah

Tori Comics 2

War
Image from Guardian.co.ukIt's been headline news for a few days now. Israel is at war with the Hizbullah colonies in the south of Lebanon. The airport is out of action. The railways, highways, communications and media are all out for the count. There is only one way out of Lebanon and that is a small crowded road. What if that was bombed? Not only would loads of people there die, but everyone else would be trapped!

What really shocks me is that America is an ALLY of Israel. Lebanon is home to some 100,000 British people who are yet to be evacuated. Doesn't that really mean that Britain and America are now at war too?

Felix Felicitus
The future isn't bright for Felix the cat. At the moment it doesn't even look orange. More blacky grey. There is a highly likely chance that he has a brain tumor. The cost to find out for sure - £1000. But that's what pet insurance is for!

Retrospectacle An insight into the Robomilk of yesteryear...
Sim Search 2. The middle of the website trilogy. It was what Sim Spawn was originally made to be. A directory of Sims related websites. It still is I believe. The thing is, this website breached just about every web rule ever made. Now it's just a simpering wreak. It covered with missing plugin errors, broken images and, your God! Animated GIFs. And anyone with an ounce of web design knowledge know that that's bad. And the logo probably gave you epilepsy.

Yesterday's Web
It's something used a lot be web designers. Yesterday I was busy web designing, so it was the W3C (X)HTML Validator. But for those not in on webby stuff I'll just give you White Ninja Comics which are good for a laugh.

Tori Meets Mr. Logic

Webcomics
I read quite a few webcomics, there's Dilbert, Garfield, White Ninja Comics and many others - a lot of which you've probably never heard of. So I started my own starring my own Tori in, Tori Meets Mr. Logic.

Radiation
After watching Hroizon on BBC Two yesterday I am now quite convinced that the much feared radiation, son of such things as nuclear bombs, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, is completely harmless. Only 56 deaths have been linked to Chernobyl and many scientific studies have show that the more radioactive the environment you live in is, the LOWER the chances of getting cancer. Seems pretty conclusive proof. Take the USA for example. The central states have the HIGHEST levels of background radiation, yet also has the LOWEST levels of cancer. Unlike those to the east and west which have LOW levels of radiation but HIGH levels of cancer!

Sim Search. Ah that was fine times. When accessibility and standards didn't mean squat to me. Sim Search was a Sims website directory. Then it went the same way as the Sims on the Web websites and just gave out cheats and downloads, some of which I'd made myself. The site was originally called Sim Spawn. The I changed my mind.

Then came my worst website yet. Sim Search 2. It has just about everything that you can do wrong with a website on it. Man that was bad. Tomorrow on Retrospectacle...

Yesterday's Web
Yesterday's site-of-the-day was....... the FurAffinity Forums! I won't bother explaining as I am quite tired and it's kind of self explanatory.

Going Postal
If you don't live in the UK then skip down as this has noting to do with you. You may have hard that Royal Mail is to start charging letters and parcels by size as well as weight. For Royal Mail this is a good thing - for everyone else it's a bad thing. Take for example, a polystyrene merchant, they didn't have to pay squat to send polystyrene to their customers, bacause polystyrene weighs nada. But he sends it in large quantities. So there's square metres upon square metres of the stuff. But the guy sent it cheap because it weighed very little.

Under the new rules, that polystyrene merchant would have to pay by the products dimensions as well as weight, and a quick calculation shows that could cost him £1.27, an almighty sum considering it would originally only cost 32p. The polystyrene merchant would go under, his company bust, his girlfriend out the door and with no light at the end of the tunnel.

DO NOT ALLOW ROYAL MAIL TO DO THIS!!!

CSN to Live Again
I'm sick of waiting, if it weren't for the crappy hosting brought on by Bravenet then CSN Animations would still be alive today. The admin, Chris Spence, is currently on hols in Canada. I'm making it my duty to bring CSN back from the dead, once and for all...

.netHeads
Yesterday I did the amazing. I became a Forum Sensei on the .net Forums. It doesn't really sound like much, but it took a year and is the first time I've ever managed to do something like this

Retrospectacle An insight into the Robomilk of yesteryear
Yesterday I started off with The Sims on the Web, today we focus on the sequal, The Sims on the Web 2.0. Click to see. Originally this site was just an expansion of the original with more downloads, more cheats, more information, and even a walkthrough guide. All was not to be however as I soon grew bored of writing long pieces of information for a tiny audience. The site was then sold to "Chris Spenge" of CSN Animations for an amazing £0.00. This is where Sim Search was born...

Yesterday's Web

After numerous comments concerning this new design, most of which say "Aargh! It's blinding me!" I have gone advanced and already started planning for version 5. Which will be so Web 2.0 that it's be chrome coloured!

An insight into the Robomilk of yesteryear!
Let's start at the beginning, 2003, the year my first ever website was launched. It was on April the 25th that The Sims on the Web, a Sims fansite, was launched. Unfortunately the Archive.org records only picked up on the site in August. So I'll show you that. Click here to get a blast from the past!

Back then web standard meant nothing and HTML was just jargon. But it didn't falter my longing for a successful website.

I got a self portrait of myself done by myself. If you want to see it in all it's pencilled in beauty *cough* then head on down here to see it all (if you can bear it).

The Robomilk Top 5...
...ASCII Art Websites!
5The ASCII Generator lets you create your own ASCII wordart. There are loads of customization options from font size and style to reflective options so if you need wordart, think the ASCII Generator!

4The Chris Johnson Collection is a MASSIVE gallery of ASCII art. With characters from all over pop culture in amazing detail. Where else can you get a picture of Einstein with his tongue out... a tongue made almost entirely out of the letter 'M'?

3Krogg's World is an ASCII website through and through. The whole site is a piece of artwork. It's designed like your average computer's windows/navigation system, only entirely out of ASCII! It's amazing!

2Mike Naylor's ASCII gallery is smaller than the other sites listed, but includes some amazing optical illusions as well as 3D shapes. And if you're wondering what the hell I'm on about, there's also a neat little description of what ASCII is all about.

1Arkworld is the ultimate ASCII website. With an amazing database of cartoon chracters past and present/ Unlike on all the previous sites listed these images are entirely in colour. Although none of the work here was created by Arkworld's admin, his site is down so this'll have to do!

Yesterday's Site
It's a new feature. Now you can find out which website I particularly enjoyed surfing yesterday. And today's (surely yesterday's?) winner is that crazy thing called the Encyclopedia Dramatica!* Just check out the entry for George W. Bush!
Current President of the United States. Single-handedly pluralized the internets.

He was born Akhmal Al Jabbar in Kaspiar, a small island in the Baltic Sea. It sunk. Akhmal (Slappy as his friends called him) ilegally immigrated into the United States hidden inside a nut. Once safely across the border, he came out.

This man, who frankly is a goddamned meatball, will probably go down in history as the second greatest President ever, right after Ronald McDonald. W is also the second smartest person in History, right after Dan Quayle, who, while visiting Latin America, lamented the fact that he'd never studied Latin, but promised to do pretty good in American.

* WARNING! Encyclopedia Dramatica is not for the faint hearted. Most of the website involves strong language, homosexual pornography and crudely drawn pictures.
