edinburgh: day 3
we left off with day two over but now it's time to go home and so we continue
8:00am
woke up. lay motionless in bed for a half-hour, hoping not to arouse suspicion that i'm awake.
8:30am
suddenly shoot up out of bed, scare everyone in room who thought i was asleep. messed about for another half-hour.
9:00am
dwelled in nostalgia by whatching the clangers on tv.
9:15am
got dressed and packed bags. panic when handheld games console goes missing. eventually found at bottom of clothes bag. how'd it got there i'd never know.
9:30am
left room and had breakfast at ajoining little chef. sausage, egg, hash brown and toast. yum!
10:15am
bought a tartan pen from tourist information shop for a cheap souvenir.
10:30am
everyone else decides to drive along scottish coast. i disagree and want to return home. had enough of driving on journey here. arrive at beack on outskirts of city. it's incredibly windy and the best view you have is of a power plant.
10:35am
after taking pics of power plant, decide to leave.
10:48am
drove through a small village by the name of aderladie (or something similar)
11:17am
enter somewhere called dunbar and stop at co-op to buy drinks and look at view.
11:23am
leave dunbar
12:16pm
enter berwick, berwickshire.
somewhere between 12:16pm and 3:10pm
drove to holy island. can only been done at low tide as road floods twice a day. i say visiting island is pointless. others disagree until discovering there isn't anything to do there. then are too embarrased to agree.
3:10pm
arrive in rothbury. stop and buy toasties for lunch/dinner.
3:35pm
leave rothbury
4:30pm
stop at chester fort to look at hadrian's wall. wall no longer there as is too old.
5:32pm
leave fort
and that's where the record ends. for some reason nothing else of the journey was documented so you'll have to guess at it.
