according to the bible (book of revelations, look it up) it says today is the birth of the anti-christ and today will be the beginning of the end of the world. many people like jesus' favourite disciple, john the evangelist, have written about armageddon (the time, not the movie); and since then such a thought has plagued the minds of humanity. cue the league of gentlemen - apocalypse...

please note. although the book of revelations predicts we will win the battle agains the anti-christ, lots of people will die in the process.
