unequal tights

a parody of an introduction of a book called equal rites which is by terry pratchett. tell me if you can find a link to the original version, cause i can't find it

A pianist plays a violin. He's not very good. A horrid chord that bursts eardrums on the slightest touch. The scene is the yellowness of a not very deep space. The dark green stars scattered around like a disastrously broken pencil.

Then, like the eclipse of the 95.2 suns, the horror filled world of Barbados chugged over. Four solitary, thousand foot palm trees hold an extraordinary place, the most loathed place in the five known universes. PC World.

Selling the latest in technology at prices beyond the reach of the best Altarial high jumpers, PC World was hated. Not disliked, not found vaguely annoying. Hated.

PC World was created for just one point. To raise intergalactic tax rates. Being the magical and expensive place it is, PC World had to be a place where common sense could survive...

i'm not dissing pc world. it's just that discworld and pc world have similar names

breaking news!

Pear announces new iSod
by Lotta Dosh, Technology Reporter

The electronics company Pear has announced the latest in its iSod series.

It has been dubbed the "Nevabreak" because of its thick armoured layer of carbon-titanium fibre molecules that make it virtually indestructible.

The Nevabreak is heavier than it's much smaller cousin the Nimno; this is because of the large amount of protection required to avoid scratches and dents. It weighs in at 1.2 kilos.

It is 13.2 cm high, 7.5 cm across and 3.3 cm wide. It currently has a memory of 256kb but Pear is thinking about providing an upgrade to a massive 258kb.

It has also been fitted with an iridium cell battery that gives power for 100 years of constant use and no need to recharge.

A spokesman for Pear Electronics said, "We have responded to people with damaged screens, worn out batteries and the spontaneous explosions. To these we have designed the revolutionary iSod Nevabreak; the only virtually indestructible portable music and video player."

Although Pear has refused to give details on the tests they carried out; Robomilk News can exclusively reveal that the iSod was put under extreme temperatures and was even shot at by a sub-level rocket launcher. And survived them all without a scratch on its person.

The iSod Nevabreak is due for release in May 3006.

monoblog1 - mind control

actually quite interesting........

If only humans could control everything. With their minds. All civilisations would be dead. Earth wouldn't exist. Neither would this document. Everything would be gone. All the achievements of the human race. But that's why we don't have mind control. Because everything would be dead. The plants. The animals. Mind control would be dead. The aliens would steal our molten carcasses. Until a guy with mind control destroyed them. Then the cycle would start again. Death would follow death. Life would follow death. Life would remain. The person made them selves indestructible. Until someone else with mind control destroys them. Then all is lost. Billions would die. War and peace fuse. They create hell. Only the enriched would survive. Survive the destruction. They would be saved. By their mind control. Until someone un-saved them. Then they would die. Bummer. The destructors would be the un-pure. They would survive. But suffer a fate worse than death. Non-death. Floating in limbo for eternity. Nothing but their mind. And their un-pure soul. That's all they have. And nothing else. Their non-death would bring on a whole new age. An age of evil. Then all will perish. All will die. All will depart their life. And die. All arts would die. All life would die. All would die. Evil would think it has prevailed. But it hasn't. It has lost its only possession. It's very creation. So evil hasn't prevailed. It has died. It has suffered the pain. The pain of pre-life. And so. It is dead.

changes

as you may have seen on your way in, there is now a dark green bar at the top of the page, as you may have seen in this post

well, after some long thinking. i have decided NOT to open the new robomilk. the cons outweigh the pros, and so, i am going to remain blogging until i stop for whatever reason. but don't worry, i am trying to integrate all of the content from the planned robomilk into this blog, so you won't miss a thing

but because of these changes, the site now displays differently in each browser. so it is highly recommended that you use opera or the latest version of firefox in order to properly view this site (opera is best)

NOTICE: the clock function on the toolbar does not work in firefox

holiday showdowns

here is a basic overview of my now completed holiday
day one is in the previous post

day two
woke up bright and early at half ten in the morning, got a good hearty half-bowl of rice krispies, and sat down to eat.

the rest of the morning was spent wandering around and making sandwiches for the journey ahead.

an hour-or-so drives later - we arrived at our picnic spot, lough name missing. after relaxing, eating and taking a few pics of the area; we went for a walk around the lough before finally setting off home.

day three
yesterday we spent all our time in the countryside, today we spent out time (and money) in the big city. after the long 45 minute tram ride from the suburbs to the centre, we wandered aimessly around for a while until about 1pm. then we went to a small food court - i got a chicken panini and everyone else decided to go to this instanbul food place.

after that we wandered around aimlessly again and went home.

day four
frobably the worst day of the holiday, the day we were due to come back; but not for that reason.

we left out little, suburbian adobe and travelled back to the city, where we subsequently got lost and arrived at port at 11:15, 5 minutes later than required - only to find out our high speed ferry was out of service because of bad weather. we got transferred to another slower ferry due to leave at 9 o'clock that night.

so, with another day on our hands we wandered the city. buying yet more stuff and eventually returned to port at 4. then fell asleep.

we were now returning on the ulysses, a ship that we (ironically) were laughing at when we overtook them on the original journey. after exploring the ship i fell asleep for the last hour of the voyage.

day five (kind of)
at midnight we returned to our cars, only to be confronted with an obviously drunk man screaming his head off. his removal delayed us by another 45 mins.

and for the rest of the journey back to manchester, i slept - we arrived home at 3:10 this morning.

yes, i know i'm on holiday. but i managed to "borrow" a computer

on the csn animations website you get this comment:

On the Robomilk blog shaun describes this site as ' started by me and my mates ' this is'nt true, this site was started by 1 person only. ( Chris ). [sic]

although the websites initial idea was his, he has not done any of the seen animations. and anyway, he can't spell and his grammar is atrocious

holiday update
yes, i am now almost halfway through my holiday
after five hours driving to holyhead in north wales
waiting an hour for the ferry
spending two hours on the ferry (the jonathan swift) feeling slightly sickly
and spending another hour in the car whilst driving through rush hour traffic in the heart of dublin
i finally arrived
to be continued.....

and lastly...
